The story began in 1862 when Louis Ernest Ladurée set up his bakery on rue Royale in Paris. Since then, Ladurée has never stopped reinventing itself. The originator of the macaron, the pioneer of tea rooms, unrivalled in the art of reinterpreting its classics and forging links with fashion and the spirit of the times, Ladurée is a story of Paris and the Parisian spirit.

Where it all began —In 1862 Louis Ernest Ladurée set up his bakery at 16 rue Royale in Paris.
Jeanne Souchard, Ernest Ladurée's wife, merged coffee and pastries and created the first Ladurée tea room.        

From tea room to exceptional pastry chef

Maison Ladurée pursued its destiny and expansion with the opening of the tea room and boutique on the Champs-Elysées in 1997.

The Ladurée macaron asserts its position with iconic and creative flavours in elegant boxes.
